class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>CIAM<\/strong> is the result of the merger, in 2020, of the international activity of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/arbitramadrid.com\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">Madrid Court of Arbitration<\/a>\u00a0(CAM), the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.camara.es\/arbitraje-y-mediacion\/corte-espanola-de-arbitraje\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">Spanish Court of Arbitration<\/a>\u00a0(CEA) and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/arbitrajecima.com\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\">Civil and Commercial Court of Arbitration<\/a>\u00a0(CIMA) with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/adrs.icam.es\/inicio\/corte-de-arbitraje\/la-corte\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\">Madrid Bar Association<\/a>\u00a0(ICAM) as strategic partner, into a single Center that administers only international cases with an Ibero-American vocation.<\/p><p><strong>CIAR<\/strong> was constituted by the Ibero-American General Secretariat at the Conference of Ministers of Justice of Ibero-American Countries during the Summit of Heads of State of Ibero-American Countries in Veracruz in 2014.<\/p><p>Due to the evident synergies and to advance its objectives, as of March 2024, following the signing of an official alliance, CIAR&#8217;s activity has been incorporated into CIAM, an institution that is now called <strong>CIIAM<\/strong> and has already administered more than 40 cases with the highest standards of efficiency and excellence.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section disputes<br \/>\u2013 deriving from contracts with arbitration agreements designating CIIAM as the administering institution, and<br \/>\u2013 deriving from contracts with arbitration agreements that designate any of the founding Courts (CAM, CAM Santiago, CEA, CIMA or ICAM) as the administering institution (\u201ctransferred cases\u201d).<\/p><p><b>3. <\/b>In terms of transferred cases:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Regarding CAM, CEA, CIMA, and ICAM, all disputes arising from arbitral agreements signed after 1 January 2020 will be administered by CIIAM. In such cases, the transfer is automatic.<\/li><li>Regarding CAM Santiago, all disputes arising from arbitral agreements signed after 1 July 2025 will be administered by CIIAM. In such cases, the transfer is automatic.<\/li><li>For disputes arising from arbitral agreements entered before 1 January 2020 (regarding CAM, CEA, CIMA, and ICAM) and before 1 July 2025 (regarding CAM Santiago), they will initially be administered by the Founding Court. However, CIIAM will invite the parties to consider transferring the case to CIIAM. If the parties agree on that transfer, CIIAM will administer the case.
