Internacional e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje de Madrid<\/em><\/strong> (CIIAM) was created in 2020 through the merger of the international activity of three leading arbitral institutions in Spain, its founders: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arbitramadrid.com\/\">Madrid Court of Arbitration<\/a> (CAM), of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camara.es\/arbitraje-y-mediacion\/corte-espanola-de-arbitraje\">Spanish Court of Arbitration<\/a> (CEA), of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce; and the <a The <a href=\"https:\/\/arbitrajecima.com\/\">Madrid Bar Association<\/a> (ICAM) joined as a strategic partner.<\/p><p>In 2024 the <strong>Ibero-American Arbitration Center<\/strong> (CIAR) also joined as a strategic partner, reinforcing CIIAM\u2019s Ibero-American DNA by bringing with it the institutional backing of the Heads of State and Government, the chambers and business and trade organizations, and the bar associations and leading lawyers\u2019 associations of Ibero-America.<\/p><p>In April 2025, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccs.cl\/camsantiago\/\">Arbitration and Mediation Center<\/a> of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CAM Santiago) joined CIIAM as an affiliated partner \u2013 the highest category of integration, with the same status as the founding institutions \u2013 integrating its international arbitration activity into CIIAM, with full participation in its governing bodies, a dedicated team and a CIIAM office in Chile.<\/p><p>In June 2026, CIIAM and the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1.abogados.or.cr\/CAM\/\">Arbitration Center of the Costa Rican Bar Association<\/a> (CAM-CR) entered into an institutional cooperation agreement to strengthen international arbitration in Central America and the Caribbean, under which CAM-CR refers its international activity to CIIAM, which now has an office in San Jos\u00e9, Costa Rica.<\/p><p>In September 2026, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camaramedellin.com.co\/quiero-un-servicio-para-mi-empresa\/solucion-de-conflictos\">Conciliation, Arbitration and Amicable Composition Center of the Medell\u00edn Chamber of Commerce for Antioquia<\/a> (CCMA) joined as a collaborating partner: it refers its international activity to CIIAM and appoints a representative to the Center\u2019s Plenary, with CIIAM thereby adding a further office in Medell\u00edn.<\/p><p>CIIAM\u2019s aim is to develop international arbitration in an integrated and joint manner, with particular emphasis on the Ibero-American region, without prejudice to the strategic interest of other axes: Europe, Africa, Asia and their relations with Ibero-America.<\/p><p>CIIAM operates in four languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English and French) and allows the seat of the arbitration to be established in any city in the world, with hearings held virtually or in person, and has offices in Madrid, Santiago de Chile, San Jos\u00e9 and Medell\u00edn.
