The Center

The Centro Internacional e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje (CIIAM) was established in 2020 through the consolidation of the international activities of the Madrid Court of Arbitration (CAM), the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA), and the Civil and Commercial Arbitration Court (CIMA), with the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) acting as a strategic partner. Subsequently, in 2024, the Ibero-American Arbitration Center (CIAR) also joined as a strategic partner.

Continuing this expansion, on April 2, 2025, the Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM Santiago) of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS) and CIIAM executed an agreement to jointly promote international arbitration, thereby reaffirming the Center’s Ibero-American vocation. This development is without prejudice to the strategic relevance of the axes Europe, Africa, Asia-Africa, Asia-Latin America, and Europe-Latin America.

The Center offers its users the possibility of designating any city in the world as the seat of arbitration and of conducting proceedings in four languages: Spanish, Portuguese, English, and French. Since its creation, CIIAM has administered approximately 70 cases, adhering to the highest standards of efficiency.
